Empowering neurodivergent people to thrive in a neurotypical world.
Flexible, inclusive and deeply respectful support.
For neurodivergent people, those still figuring it out, and those that support us.
About Me
I’m Dr. Leia Greenslade (she/they) and I’m neurodivergent.
I bring over 18 years experience as a social worker and university educator. My work is shaped by a commitment to dismantling ableist systems, amplifying lived experience, and supporting people to thrive without compromising their identities. As a social worker, my foundational value base is rooted in dignity, inclusion, and the unwavering belief in every person’s right to be heard and respected.
My lived experience of disability means that I know how hard the struggles can be to carry, because I live them. Since my diagnosis of autism over a decade ago, I’ve been advocating for neurodivergent justice. Through co-creating and writing for the seminal blog Respectfully Connected, co-creating Autistic Family Collective (2013-2016), and most recently, writing and convening the disability courses in the Bachelor and Masters of Social Work programs at Griffith University, I’ve worked to create meaningful change in the lives of neurodivergent people.
Since graduating with my social work degree many years ago, I’d always planned to one day open my own private practice. To create a space where I could combine my academic knowledge, my social work skills and my lived experience of disability, to more directly support neurodivergent people. That time has now come.

Counselling
Let’s talk.
50 minute online sessions. Just you and me. We can talk about whatever’s on your mind: burnout, identity, grief, relationships, masking, or just making sense of the world when it doesn’t quite fit.
I tailor every session to you, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches that honour your neurotype, life experience, and goals. I use a secure online platform and I’m here for you whether you are a camera on or off person or prefer to use the chat function.
There’s no one-size-fits-all here, just thoughtful, responsive support built around who you are. Together, we’ll create a space that feels safe, respectful, and truly yours.

Supervision
Let’s reflect.
I offer supervision for neurodivergent professionals, people working in the disability sector, and anyone grappling with how to stay values-aligned in a neo-liberal practice environment that often pushes in the opposite direction.
In our 50 minute online session, we will create a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with why you do this work, and how you can show up for it in a way that is authentic for you.
We can talk about ethical tensions, burnout, navigating ableist systems, role clarity, boundaries, or whatever you need. There’s no set formula here. Just thoughtful, responsive support shaped around you, your practice, and your way of processing.

Advocacy
Let’s make change happen.
I can support you in advocating in healthcare and community settings and assist you with identifying and securing disability accommodations in workplaces. I can work with schools and tertiary educators to meet you or your child’s needs, and craft homeschool reports for your neurodivergent children.
Finding the right job fit for neurodivergent people can be a major hurdle. I can assist with career planning, for you or your teen, and help you build self-advocacy skills for everyday life. Whether you're dealing with bureaucracy, burnout, or big transitions, you're not alone, I’m with you.
I help you shape systems around your needs, not the other way around.
