About Me

I’m Dr. Leia Greenslade (she/they), AKA the Neurodivergent Social Worker.

I bring over 19 years experience as a social worker and 29 years experience as a parent to neurodivergent kids.

My work is shaped by a commitment to amplifying lived experience, dismantling ableist systems, and supporting people to thrive without compromising their core values. As a social worker, my foundational value base is rooted in dignity, inclusion, and the unwavering belief in every person’s right to be heard and respected.

My lived experience of disability means I know how hard some struggles can be to carry, because I carry them too. My personal journey has shaped everything I do professionally and everything I believe about what meaningful support looks like.

I believe in sitting with the hard stuff, asking the bigger questions, and helping people make genuine meaning from their experiences, whatever those experiences look like.

Through co-creating Autistic Family Collective (2013–2016), writing and convening disability courses in University Bachelor and Masters of Social Work programs, and sharing popular reels supporting parents of neurodivergent kids, I've worked to create meaningful change. The thread running through all of it has always been the same. A commitment to people who feel deeply, who carry more than others realise, and who deserve a space to explore what their life truly means to them.

Therapy and Practical Support

Let’s talk.

Our time together is not about fixing you, because you're not broken. It's about holding space for whatever you're carrying, whether it’s burnout, grief, identity questions, relationships, or that deeper hunger to understand what your life means and where you're headed.

Sometimes the work is about navigating the world around you. Sometimes it goes much deeper into meaning, purpose, and what it looks like to live a life that feels truly yours.

Every 50 minute online session is tailored to you, honouring your story, your experience, and your goals. We work at your pace, in your direction.

Guided self-identification Sessions

Let’s explore.

Three online 50 minute online sessions to help you understand whether you might be Autistic, ADHD, or both. No long waits, no medical gatekeeping, just thoughtful, guided support grounded in lived experience and current assessment criterion.

We’ll talk through your story, explore Autistic and/or ADHD traits, complete validated screening tools, and make sense of what it all means collaboratively.

This isn’t a formal diagnosis, but it is a valid path. And if you choose to seek a medical assessment later, I can connect you with affirming clinicians.

Some people call this process ‘peer-review’, because you get guided through the exploration by someone who is AuDHD themselves.

Let’s grow.

I offer therapy, coaching, and employment support for NDIS participants who are seeking to better understand themselves, their needs, and how to thrive in a world not always built with them in mind.

For children and young people who find it hard to engage directly with a therapist, I can work with their parent or caregiver instead. Together, we’ll build insight, strategies, and confidence to support your child’s wellbeing and growth in ways that feel safe and sustainable.

Each 50 minute online session is collaborative and adaptable. Whether we’re focusing on self-understanding, executive functioning, emotional regulation, or workplace support, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach, just neurodiversity-affirming, practical, and responsive support shaped around you or your family’s unique needs.

Let’s reflect.

I offer professional supervision for neurodivergent professionals, people working in the disability sector, and anyone grappling with how to stay values-aligned in a neo-liberal practice environment that often pushes in the opposite direction.

In our 50 minute online session, we will create a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with why you do this work, and how you can show up for it in a way that is authentic for you.

We can talk about ethical tensions, burnout, navigating ableist systems, role clarity, boundaries, or whatever you need. There’s no set formula here. Just thoughtful, responsive support shaped around you, your practice, and your way of processing.
