Lived Experience Meets Professional Practice

As a neurodivergent person, I understand firsthand the gaps that exist between what is taught and what is experienced. My work blends lived experience, academic expertise, critical disability theory, and evidence-informed educational design.

Practical Support for Real Inclusion

Real inclusion is not performative. It’s structural, practical, and deeply human. I collaborate with organisations, educators, researchers, and neurodivergent individuals to create learning design materials and spaces that are not only accessible, but affirming. This work is flexible, collaborative, and responsive to your context, from small community projects to large institutions.

I can support you with:

  • Creating and delivering virtual presentations and interactive online workshops (staff training, continuing professional development)

  • Designing and developing course content for educational institutions (incl. micro-credential courses)

  • Consulting on research projects, including expert disability input on accessible research design and dissemination

  • Reviewing learning content to ensure it aligns with Universal Design for Learning principles

  • Advising on how to adapt environments (physical and digital) to be more sensory-friendly

Suggested Topics

I develop content on a broad range of topics, including:

  • What is Neurodivergence? Understanding the concept and why language matters

  • Creating Accessible, Neuro-Embracing Workplaces – going beyond compliance to foster psychological safety

  • Supporting Neurodivergent Students – inclusive strategies for educators, support staff, and administrators

  • Understanding Disability Legislation – unpacking rights, protections, and obligations in education and workplaces

  • The Lived Experience of Disability – centring disabled voices in policy, education, and research

  • Universal Design for Learning (UDL) – practical frameworks to reduce barriers for all people

  • Sensory Accessibility – adapting spaces to be more inclusive and supportive for a variety of sensory needs

  • Challenging Ableism in Professional Contexts – disrupting stigma through education and systems change

More Than Information — A Shift in Perspective

The goal of this work isn’t just to increase knowledge.

It’s to build skills that change culture.

It’s to create spaces where neurodivergent and disabled people are not only included, but truly welcomed, understood, and supported to thrive.

It’s to offer tools that build more human-centred systems. Through thoughtful design, strong partnerships, and authentic inclusion, we can move from awareness to action, and from accommodation to transformation.

Take the first step to explore working together to create change that honours everyone.
